The project challenged participants to consider the move towards more simplified designs / popularity of sensorial experiences for home entertainment, what products could enhance or elevate a customer’s experience?Â
Focusing on the sense of sound, how might new archetypes and experiences build upon Sky’s current ecosystem?

Additive functions
30 student / 6 week project between Nottingham Trent University, Rotterdam University of applied Science and Harbin engineering university
The project challenged participants to explore additive manufacturing, developing a additive component that gives function to a found vessel.

Design for production - bend fold crease
12 student / 6 week project between Nottingham Trent University and Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Participants explored flat-bed production methods such as water cutting, laser cutting, stamping and die cutting creating new lighting products for the commercial home-ware market
Through observation
20 student / 10 week industry lead project between Nottingham Trent University, Guangzhou Academy of fine arts and Swiftech.
The project challenged participants to explore and evaluate the visual elements of nature, documenting research and developing concepts for children’s inflatables
Selected concepts were prototyped with students visiting Swiftech to test their products.

Project asked participants to explore how might we empower European communities to effectively mitigate, and adapt to the local challenges of climate change using AI enhanced products
